Nick joined Sportlobster on launch as the fourth employee in the business. He quickly built a marketing team of 17 and learnt football fan influencers were the most effective channel through which to drive high-quality app installs. He set up an in-house influencer marketing team and ran campaigns around key events, optimising constantly to drive 2 million registrations over a 2 year period, helping the company raise in excess of £15m in the process.
Nick left Sportlobster in August 2015 with Harry Hugo, the Head of Social and Arron Shepherd, the Co-Founder to establish Goat. The company has grown from 3 to 53 staff in two years and has worked with brands including BBC Sport, New Look and Malibu. Agency relationships include Havas, BBH and Mediavest.

Harry set up his first business when he was 16, a football fan site network with 60 websites and over 500 global writers. He was then invited to write for Liverpool’s social website as an influential blogger. He then became Head of Social at Sportlobster by 18 and built relationships with every major influencer in the UK.
Since Harry founded Goat 2 years ago, the company has grown to 75 staff and has worked with global brands like Formula E, Lidl and British Airways. Goat remains unfunded having grown through delivering guaranteed results to the biggest brands in the world.
Harry has been on the speaking circuit at both marketing conferences and universities since he started Goat. His notable talks have been at Integrated LIVE and the London Affiliate Conference where he talked about how ‘Twitter is Dead’ and looked ahead to the emerging social platforms. He has also featured on expert interview panels at events such as Social Day.
Arron is a serial investor and entrepreneur with years of experience in the digital marketing industry.
At 23, Arron moved to Dubai and became global director of Business Development at The First Group, where the company increased EMEA revenues from $25m to $350m in just 3 years. By 2012 Arron co-founded Sportlobster; he built a team of over 60 staff, on-boarded over 2 million users and completed successful partnerships with Cristiano Ronaldo, the NBA, Crystal Palace, Sky and many other major sports brands.
Having raised £17.5m at Sportlobster, Arron exited the company in early 2016 to join forces with former Sportlobster colleagues Nick Cooke and Harry Hugo to establish Goat. Arron’s industry experience has not only given him insight into what is required to deliver fast UX, but with his experience as an Investor, (VC funded) Founder and Agency Director he is uniquely positioned to offer insight on all aspects of entrepreneurship.
