As Vogue describe it, Depop is a ‘thrift shopping oasis for millennials’. The challenge was maintaining their relatively low CPA while acquiring new users in the UK and US markets. At over 5 million UK users, with every acquisition campaign this was becoming more of a challenge.
We re-ran regular burst campaigns lasting two weeks to target different communities online. Depop have useful data showing which communities are already using the platform. We used our CRM system to highlight alternative communities and the right influencers to drive new registrations (gaming, urban music, FIFA). We set up an account on Depop used to sell highly desirable, hard to buy items at incredibly low cost. We then use the biggest and most relevant influencers to drive new registrations and sales.
